02 / Why it is delicate

A migration is not a copy and paste job.

Moving the pixels is the easy part. What breaks is everything invisible, and by the time you notice, the traffic is already gone.

01

The pages Google already trusts

Years of ranking signals live on specific URLs. Break the address and the signal goes with it. Every one gets mapped before anything moves.

02

The content you paid to write

Copy, images, blog archives, testimonials, downloads. All of it transfers with formatting and publish dates intact.

03

The traffic you already earned

A botched migration can halve organic traffic and take six months to claw back. Doing it properly costs less than recovering from it.

03 / The process

Three stages. You approve each one.

Nothing happens to your live site until you have seen the replacement and signed off on it.

  1. 01

    Audit

We crawl your live site and inventory every page, URL, image, form and ranking keyword.

You get a written migration plan before we touch anything: the full page list, which URLs carry your traffic, and exactly what the new site will look like. No surprises after you have paid.

  2. 02

    Rebuild

We rebuild your site on WordPress or Shopify on a private staging URL you can review.

Content, images, page structure, forms and metadata all come across. You review the staging site and request changes until it is right. Your live site keeps running the whole time.

  3. 03

    Redirect & Verify

We map every old URL to its new home, launch, and verify the redirects resolve.

Every old URL gets a 301 to its match on the new site. After launch we re-crawl, confirm no broken links or redirect chains, resubmit your sitemap, and watch Search Console for two weeks.

04 / Standard

The parts others charge extra for.

Not add-ons, not upsells. Every migration includes all four, at the price quoted.

01

Fixed price, quoted upfront

You get one number before we start. No hourly billing, no scope creep, no invoice surprises at the end.

02

7-day delivery

Most migrations are live within a week of kickoff. Store migrations run 10–14 days depending on catalog size.

301301301

03

301 redirect map included

Every old URL points to its new equivalent. This is the single biggest reason migrations lose rankings, and it is standard on every job.

04

No downtime

We build on staging and cut over via DNS. Your current site stays up and selling until the moment the new one replaces it.

05 / Estimate

Price it before you talk to anyone.

Most agencies hide the number behind a form. Ours is on the page, move the slider.

Scope it yourself

What would my migration cost?

No email required. This uses the same tiers as the pricing table below, it is the real number, not a lead-capture teaser.

08 / Questions

Asked before hiring us.

If yours is not here, ask it in the form below, a person answers, not a sequence.

01Will I lose my Google rankings?
That is the thing we are actually being hired to prevent. Rankings drop during migrations when old URLs return 404s and the equity built up in those pages evaporates. We map every existing URL to its counterpart on the new site with a 301 redirect, keep your page titles, meta descriptions and heading structure intact, and preserve your internal linking. Expect a small fluctuation in the first two weeks while Google re-crawls, that is normal and it recovers.
02How long does a migration take?
Starter and Business migrations are typically live within 7 days of kickoff. E-commerce migrations run 10–14 days depending on how many products and how much order history needs to come across. We give you a firm date in the quote.
03Will my site go down during the move?
No. We build the new site on a private staging URL. Your existing site stays live and fully functional until you approve the rebuild. The switchover is a DNS change that takes effect in minutes.
04Do I need to buy hosting first?
Not before you talk to us. For WordPress we will recommend hosting that fits your traffic and set it up with you, expect $10–30/month. For Shopify you will need a Shopify plan starting at $39/month. Those costs are yours directly; we do not mark them up or resell them.
05What happens to my email addresses?
Nothing, in most cases. Email usually runs on separate DNS records from your website. We preserve your MX records during the DNS cutover so mail keeps flowing. If your email is bundled with your current host we will flag that in the audit and plan the move with you.
06Can you migrate my blog posts and their comments?
Blog posts, yes, with their published dates, authors, categories and URLs preserved. Comments depend on the source platform. Wix comments cannot be exported through any supported API, so those cannot be carried over. We will tell you exactly what is and is not portable during the audit.
07What if my site has more pages than the tier allows?
We quote it. The tiers cover most sites, but if you have 80 pages or a 2,000-SKU catalog we will price the actual job rather than force it into a box. The quote is still fixed before work starts.
08What do you need from me to get started?
Login access to your current site, your domain registrar, and any analytics accounts you want reconnected. That is roughly a 20-minute task on your end. After that the next thing you do is review the staging site.

Tell us about your site.

Send the URL and we will look at it ourselves. You get back a fixed price, a delivery date, and an honest note about anything that will not transfer cleanly.

  • A fixed price and a delivery date, not a discovery call
